Confirmed entrants

| Opsin — San Jose, US | Security & GRC | $21m, stage not disclosed; SYN Ventures, Race Capital; 15 Oct | Shows security teams what staff-built agents can reach and do | Identity and access tools that only check permissions | Med | Live, with about 20 enterprise customers. ServiceNow and Workday shipped their own agent controls the same week |
| Healthleap — San Francisco, US (founded in South Africa) | Healthcare SaaS; Vertical AI Agents | $38m seed and Series A combined; Sequoia, First Round, Hummingbird; 14 Oct | Reads hospital records every day and flags which patients need attention first | Manual clinical screening and EHR add-on modules | Med | Top-tier backers and a live product, but hospitals buy slowly. The split between the two rounds was not disclosed |
| Zenzap — Tel Aviv, Israel | Other (workplace messaging); AI Infrastructure & Orchestration | $33m Series A; Bessemer, Lightspeed; announced 14 Oct, closed August 2025 | A work chat where staff and agents share tasks, files and context | Slack, Teams and WhatsApp use in non-tech firms | Med | The threat crosses borders. Usage is real and the backers are top tier, but the money is over a year old |
| Causa Prima — Madrid, Spain / Munich, Germany | Fintech Infrastructure; Vertical AI Agents | $20m seed; led by Base10; announced 13 Oct, closed September | Buyer and supplier agents settle billing disputes and agree early payment | Accounts payable and receivable automation, and supply-chain finance | Med | A large seed round and a founder who built Taulia. It only works once both buyer and supplier join |
| Uvi — Israel (city not disclosed) | AI Infrastructure & Orchestration; Data & Analytics Infrastructure | $7.5m seed; CT Innovations, Cardumen; left stealth 14 Oct | Links Slack, Jira, Confluence, code and meeting notes so agents know past decisions | In-house agent builds and enterprise search | Med | The threat crosses borders: it has named customers and is building a US team |
| Shamrock AI — Shillong, India | DevOps & Developer Tools; AI Infrastructure & Orchestration | $5m (nearly ₹47.34 crore) seed; led by Endiya; 15 Oct | Automates testing for large ERP moves, starting with SAP S/4HANA | SAP test tools and testing work done by integrators | Med | The threat crosses borders: it has Fortune 500 users and a US client team |
| Matria — Belo Horizonte, Brazil | Healthcare SaaS; Vertical AI Agents | $6.5m seed; led by Astella; 18 Oct | Automates exam scheduling, payments and clinical checks | Hospital admin staff and older hospital IT add-ons | Med | A regional player: 26 clients, with Mexico 20% of revenue |
| AlloBrain — Paris, France | CRM & Sales (customer service); Vertical AI Agents | $7m early-stage; led by Varsity; 16 Oct | Customer-service AI that is paid only when costs fall and satisfaction rises | Contact-centre outsourcers and per-seat service tools | Low | Paying only for results is a sharp way in, but the round is small and the field is crowded |
| Minicor — San Francisco, US | AI Infrastructure & Orchestration | $3.8m seed; led by IA Ventures, with YC; 14 Oct | Turns old desktop apps into endpoints AI can call | RPA vendors and computer-use agents | Low | There is a clear budget to take (RPA), but the round is small and no customers are named |
| Elevatry — Munich, Germany | Industrial/Supply Chain SaaS (procurement) | €3m (≈$3.5m) pre-seed; Bayern Kapital, H&Z; 14 Oct | Agentic AI for strategic sourcing | Procurement suites and consultant-led sourcing projects | Low | Live for three weeks, selling in DACH first, with no named customers |
| reebuild — Vienna, Austria | Other (construction back office); Vertical AI Agents | €3m (≈$3.5m) seed; led by Fortino; 13 Oct | Automates invoices, cost tracking and materials for builders | Spreadsheets and old construction software | Low | It saves real time, but the round is small and it serves one industry |
| Salary Hero — Thailand (city not stated) | Fintech Infrastructure; HR/HCM | $7.6m Series A; led by Cento; 14 Oct | Employer-linked wage access and financial-health platform | Payday lenders and payroll-advance add-ons | Low | A regional player, moving from Thailand into Malaysia in a lending-regulated niche |
| AZOO — Kyoto, Japan | Other (hospitality SaaS); Vertical AI Agents | ¥490m (≈$3.1m) Series A; led by Mobile Internet Capital; 14 Oct | One hotel system for property, guests, accounting and marketing | Separate hotel PMS, CRM and accounting tools | Low | A home-market player riding Japan’s tourism boom and staff shortage |
Incumbent-launched new SaaS lines
| Entrant (+HQ) | Category | Stage & Funding | What they do | Who they threaten | Threat | One-line reason |
| Workday — Trusted Agent Platform and autopilot agents | HR/HCM; Fintech Infrastructure (finance) | Incumbent launch, 13 Oct; generally available | Opens HR and finance records to any agent, under Workday’s rules | HR and finance point agents, and integration vendors | High | Workday owns the record and the rules, so outside agents must work on its terms |
| ServiceNow — AI Passport | Security & GRC; ITSM & ESM | Incumbent launch, 15 Oct; NVIDIA is the launch partner | Credentials that prove what each agent may do, checked at every step | Agent-governance start-ups such as Opsin | Med | It is an open standard, so rivals can plug in. But it sets the bar that start-ups must meet |
Early signals
These show intent only. They do not confirm commercial entry.
| Entrant (+HQ) | Category | Signal type | What they do | Who they threaten | Threat | One-line reason |
| SignSplit — Delaware, US (city not disclosed) | Data & Analytics Infrastructure | Left stealth with a $400m seed round at a $1bn valuation, 14 Oct; no live product described | Infrastructure for consented human data, with payment to the people who create it | AI training-data vendors and data brokers | Low | Huge capital, but no buyer or product has been shown yet |
| Revolution Labs — UK (per Dealroom; city not disclosed) | AI Infrastructure & Orchestration | Round still in progress: Accel set to lead $60m, 16 Oct | Text generation with diffusion models instead of transformers | Model providers, not SaaS vendors, for now | Low | At research stage, and the round has not closed |
What to watch
- Categories: Agents need a control layer and a context layer, and both are drawing the most new entrants. On control, Opsin follows last week’s Rein Security. On context, Uvi, Shamrock and Minicor follow last week’s Ampersand. I have three weeks of data, not yet four.
- Regions: Latin America (Matria) and Southeast Asia (Salary Hero) came back after being gaps last week. The UK and the Gulf dropped out. The US holds 3 of 13 confirmed entries, down from 4 of 12. Continental Europe holds 4.
- Funding concentration: Confirmed rounds total about $160m. Healthleap, Zenzap and Opsin make up about 58% of that. About a third ($53m) closed before the window: Zenzap in August 2025 and Causa Prima in September. SignSplit’s $400m sits in Early Signals. If counted, it would be 2.5 times the whole confirmed total.
- Graduations: Neither of last week’s Early Signals (Echelon, Fleuret AI) has a confirmed follow-on.
- What it means for incumbents: In one week, Workday and ServiceNow both shipped rule layers for agents. Agent-governance start-ups now sell against the record owner’s own rulebook. Workday puts it plainly: “Probabilistic AI is great at guessing, but in payroll and finance, a good guess isn’t good enough.” Incumbents are also buying the SaaS-management point tools. Freshworks agreed to buy Torii, and Infotech bought Zluri. The start-ups best placed to survive work across platforms. Opsin covers Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini, for example.
